Todd Rundgren |
Todd Rundgren is an American musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. Although hailed in the early stage of his career as a new pop-wunderkind, supported by the certified gold solo double LP Something/Anything? in 1972, Rundgren's career has focused instead on producing the work of other musicians, along with more modestly-selling recordings as a solo artist and with his band Utopia.
During the '70s and '80s, Rundgren produced big-selling albums, including Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf, We're an American Band by Grand Funk Railroad, and Skylarking by XTC. In the '80s and '90s his interest in video and computers led to Rundgren's "Time Heals" being the second video played on MTV, and "Change Myself" was generated on commercially available Amiga Computers.
His best-known songs include "Hello It's Me" and "I Saw the Light" which enjoy heavy rotation on classic rock radio stations, and "Bang the Drum All Day" featured in many sports arenas, commercials, and movie trailers.

Paul Freeman |
Paul Freeman One pre-teen afternoon, riding his bike around the neighborhood, Paul Freeman found his first guitar - a battered and beaten acoustic, its warped neck sticking out of the top of a dumpster. Although the guitar had but four strings ("The A and the high E were missing"), Freeman fell in love; so much so that, by the next Christmas, his parents and grandparents joined forces to buy 12-year-old Paul a proper tune-able six-string and a book of chords to go with it. "I sat and listened to records and played along with them," he remembers. "The first song I learned was "Get It On" (aka "Bang A Gong" in the US) by T. Rex, and then I started learning the entire Paul McCartney back catalogue." Paul Freeman has come a long way since then. He was signed by the legendary Clive Davis, and in the last year alone has toured with Joe Cocker, Todd Rundgren, Edwin McCain, Los Lobos, and Brandi Carlisle. He recently had one of his songs covered by Meat Loaf, and another covered by indie darlings Pomlamoose. He's currently being featured by Subway and grooveshark.com. His current EP Tightrope charted at 75 on the Billboard Top 100 - the highest for an then-unsigned artist, and has sold over 30,000 copies in the last three months.

Jill Sobule |
Jill Sobule belongs to a rare breed of artists. Her work is at once deeply personal and socially conscious, seriously funny and derisively tragic. Her first record was produced by Todd Rundgren but success came three years later, when Atlantic Records released her MTV staple and national top 20 hit, "I Kissed A Girl". Over five albums and two decades of recording Jill went straight to fans who funded her record 2009 California Years by collecting and sending her $85K. Jill has been honored to share the stage with Neil Young (at his yearly Bridge School benefit concerts), fellow activists Billy Bragg & Steve Earle, and Waren Zevon. She also served as songwriter/composer for the hit Nickelodeon network show Unfabulous, composed the music for the off-Broadway show Prozak and the Platypus and co-starred in the Eric Schaeffer film Mind the Gap. In the words of New York Times pop music critic Jon Pareles, "Jill Sobule can claim her place among the stellar New York singer-songwriters of the last decade. Topical, funny and more than a little poignant ... grown-up music for an adolescent age."
